Let me start by saying, I believe I can fly.

I am a very public-private person. And to most people that may sound a little strange, but let me explain. I don’t mind my life being an open book, and I LOVE social media; however 75% of the things that happen in my life don’t make it to social media and I don’t want those things too. I mean, I love to share pictures and good news as much as the next person does, but I like my personal life to stay private while letting my lifestyle be public. Also, contrary to popular belief, I actually do prefer chill nights at home in my lounge clothes. AND, even though I enjoy meeting new people and socializing and laughing extremely loud (out loud) I am very shy.

Because I’m so busy all the time, I look forward to the weekends. On the weekends, I like to watch television. Especially re-runs of Law & Order SVU and Keeping Up With the Kardashians; and any other show that I missed because I usually only watch television on Thursdays (Grey’s and Scandal) during a regular week. I really enjoy going out to eat. Olive Garden, Maggiano’s, PF Changs, Outback, Chick-fil-A, are a few of my faves. I LOVE hanging out with my sista-friends!! I could go on and on about the importance of great friends, however, that’s another post for another day. Let me just say that the Ministry of Girlfriends has been such a blessing to my life. I love to travel! A few getaways a year is a must, I mean jetting off to a place where I don’t have to set an alarm is probably what I look forward to the most. I really like going to the movies, I’m really into action movies, war movies and historical movies. I’m a 300, Gladiator, Troy, Lord of the Rings, Equalizer, American Sniper type of girl. I can’t do the dramas and the love stories lol. Retail therapy always makes me feel better; even if I don’t buy anything . . . I enjoy window shopping.

With all that I have going on, I will say that my mom keeps me sane, grounded, and on the right track. My mother is definitely my biggest influence. She is my SHero! All that I am, I owe it to her; I am literally living off of my mama’s prayers. Because of my mom, I am striving to be a better Christian, I am going to be an excellent wife, a wonderful mother, an awesome friend, and a well-rounded entrepreneur. She is so smart and so financially savvy. My mom is the real life Olivia Pope in my book; she knows how to HANDLE any situation that comes her way.

There have been times when people have asked me if I would change anything about my life, and honestly my answer is no. It gets a little tiring trying to balance everything that’s going on, but I wouldn’t change it. My favorite girl Adrienne reminds me all the time that I  was built for this. So no matter what life throws my way, I know that with God and with the support of my inner circle, I can do the impossible.
